Neil Kornblatt, co-owner of Sno-Haus Ski & Snowboard Shops on Long Island, New York, passed away September 30, 2024. He was 73.

Kornblatt was born in Brooklyn, New York, to Sylvia Alpert and Oscar Kornblatt, founder of Sno-Haus Ski Shops. Raised on Long Island, Kornblatt attended the University of Vermont and then Stony Brook University. He met his wife while working at the ski shop. They moved to Washington, D.C., where Kornblatt received his law degree from Georgetown Law in 1980 and went on to practice as a legislative lawyer for the U.S. House of Representatives. The couple eventually returned to New York to join the family business. Kornblatt, a lifelong skier and sailor, teamed up with Bob Merrill as co-owners of Sno-Haus shops, where they partnered together for 42-years.
