Bob Danseizen - Retail Pioneer

Bob Danzeisen, a prominent ski retailer in New Jersey for nearly 60 years, passed on April 10, at his home in Lower Macungie Township, Pennsylvania. He was 90.

Born in Philadelphia, Danzeisen cofounded Danzeisen Ski & Sports in 1961 in Haddon Heights, New Jersey, with an emphasis on skiing and cycling. That enterprise grew after 1971 into the Danseizen & Quigley chain.

Danzeisen retired in 2019 and closed the flagship store, which was reopened and relocated later that year under new ownership.
